You Could Make It Monday: Homemade Play Dough

Making homemade play dough is one of our favorite things to do. The recipe is simple, non-toxic (you know that they eat it, or at least try!) and will last for a few weeks if you keep it in an air-tight container/bag. Here is the recipe:

Homemade Play Dough

Mix together the following dry ingredients in a large bowl:
3 cups flour
3 Tbsp. alum
1 1/2 cups salt

In a separate bowl mix:
3 cups boiling water
2 Tbsp oil
Food Coloring

Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture. Mix and then and knead until smooth.

This creation is an interpretation of the Solar System. Not too shabby!
