I've been hearing bits and pieces about this the past few weeks, and have now just spent the last 2 hours reading the official document, several forums, articles, and all about the effects that it will have. The bottom line...all toys, including handmade ones, will be required to be tested for hazardous materials and then be "certified" as safe by February 10th. If your products aren't, selling them will be illegal. Sounds reasonable if you are Mattel or Hasbro, but what about us stay-at-home moms who run the entire show ourselves?
