You Could Make it Monday: Altered Notebooks

So there are so many fabulous things to make, just not enough time to share them all with you. This is a really inexpensive project idea...

Altered Notebooks
Supplies:
1 notebook/stenopad (usually around $1, check the dollar store)
2 patterned pieces of 12x12 scrapbook paper
2 coordinating pieces of 8.5 x 11 paper
stick on file tabs (walmart or office supply)
lots of misc. paper & ribbon scraps
embellishments
adhesive

Instructions:
1. Use the adhesive to re-cover the front and back with patterned paper. Fold the excess paper around to the inside of the cover. Then use the 8.5 x 11 to cover the inside of the cover.

2. Adhere the sticky tabs to the pages inside the notebook. I tabbed for Address & Phone, Birthdays, Notes, Etc. I made my labels to go inside the tabs with a label maker, you could print them, or write on them.

3. Embellish the front cover with scraps, ribbon, and embellishments.

4. Add your info. and you are organized for just a few dollars!

**This could work for anything, not just an address book...a journal...a school book...a sketchpad. The possibilities are endless!!
